Karen Range kisses her son Sam after eating dinner. Since receiving a double lung transplant, Karen has been able to be an active part of her son’s life again. Karen Range blow dries her hair at her home in Deleware, Ohio. Before the transplant, Karen was too weak to lift up her arms and rarely bothered with how she looked. Now Karen has the strength to dry her hair, do her makeup and feel feminine once again. Sammy Range, right, introduces his mother Karen to his friend from school on January 30th, 2010. After getting a double lung transplant, Karen has been able to be much more active in Sam’s school life. Karen Range gives her 5 year old son Sam a bath at their home in Deleware, Ohio. Sam was only 2 years old when Karen got sick and had only known his mother as being ill. Since the transplant, Karen has been able to be much more active in Sam’s life. Now Karen is much more independent and healthy. Karen Range thanks God for her life saving gift everyday and surrounds herself with reminders of Him. Karen Range gets out of her car after arriving at the Cleveland Clinic for an appointment. Karen receieved her transplant at the Cleveland Clinic and said they were wonderful people who really made the transplant process go smoothly. Karen Range takes a breathing test at the Cleveland Clinic. Her results were better than they have ever been and show signs of a successful transplant.
