Jewell never got married and never had kids. “Everyone tells me I’m smart for not getting married and having kids. But I’m not. I wish I had a couple kids to keep me company and take care of me now. Lorrie, her grandmother, does the best she can to deal with it. “Sometimes she’s just too much to handle and I get mad at her,” Lorrie says. “But I can’t. This isn’t her fault. She didn’t ask for that abuse.” Sunday Streets 2011 Season continues the tradition of visiting diverse communities throughout the City with a variety of routes in different neighborhoods. On Sunday,  August 14, 2011, Sunday Streets was held in the Tenderloin with activities such as bike riding through the streets. Alameda residents got to show their Fourth of July spirit with events such as a parade through the city and celebrations on the USS Hornet. When Andre von Wartburg’s unemployment ran out , he and his wife Linda started a business called Dovetail selling refurbished furniture and moving furniture for people who buy it on Craigslist.
